A Western sign is a seasonal zodiac position, a Chinese zodiac year sign belongs to a year-pillar stem-and-branch calendar, and a Zi Wei star is placed in one area of a twelve-palace map. Similar themes can be compared, but the systems are not interchangeable.
A place helps establish the local civil time zone and, depending on the chosen method, a true-solar-time adjustment for the Zi Wei calculation. We show the assumption rather than hiding it behind an accuracy claim.
